Ok seeing numerous posts of people who assume that anet/ncsoft support have an infinite number of support staff - they dont.
Anet support im sure many will agree probably have a few thousand support tickets daily - be it bot/scam issues all way to forgot login details - all of these im sure are put in a cue system and dealt with as they come to them.
Also support as far as im aware doesnt work weekends ( which a huge amount of people dont understand when they submit friday nights and dont get replies till monday onwards ) .
Just give them time to go thru the tickets - may take 24hrs ( non weekends ) may take a few days but usually they do get back to you.
3 years ago when a hacker took my account ( someone else got hacked in guild and we assume the hacker got to me via msn as no 3rd party crap did i load or any dodgy sites and he lost his hotmail account with me straight after ) it took anet almost 2 weeks to fix the problem - was weekend when i reported it and tuesday i had email and had constant support and contact from support till i got the gd news of having account back.
They may be a bit slow due to workload an possibly understaffed but they did their job - so bare with them and enjoy doing something in real life till you get it sorted.

What you really should be asking yourself is: Which will happen first?
A) They get back to you and you jump through whatever hoops are created for them to verify you are the account owner, or
B) You remember/guess one of your character names.
Your memory is like a filing cabinet. The information is still there, you just lost the key to that drawer. If I were you, I'd spend what time I could over the weekend to solve the problem myself.

Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars Support Team.
I am escalating your ticket to our Guild Wars senior staff members to assist you further. Once they have reviewed your question, one of them will contact you as soon as possible.

If you talk to any of your friends that you know in game, outside of the game (MSN, RL, Facebook, etc), ask them what your character name is. If they have you on their friend's list, they can give you a name.
